Kia ora koutou e te whānau,
Today we offically marked our 75th Jubilee. It was a great occasion and we were blessed to have Archbishop Paul Martin, Fr. Bill, Fr. Andrew and Fr. Ravi celebrate the Mass with us.
As we gathered this morning, Archbishop Paul blessed the artwork we have installed, titled "Our History, Our Voice, Our Spirit". We reflected on how beautifully it captures the essence of who we are – a community shaped by the rich history and enduring values of those who came before us. A special thanks to Deidree Hutchins and Alan Wehipeihana, the very talented artists who brought this vision to life. Their creativity and dedication has given us a visual reminder of our shared journey that we will cherish for future generations.

These are just a small sample of the photos that have been uploaded onto the website.
A huge thank you to you all for supporting our Parish Foodbank. This was once again an opportunty to 'never see a need without doing something about it'.
The children finished the day with a sports rotation and an ice block.

Have a great weekend.

Gospel Reflection - Sunday, 15th September, 2024
This term we have been working on Clubs for our gold badge. We worked in groups of two or three people and the Year 5s and 4s got to choose which Club they wanted to join. Cruz and Aahil formed a basketball club. Alex, Tobias, Fran, Noah K and Sammy wanted to join our group. Charlie C, George and Charles did a Lego club. Niamh, Michael, Josiah and Ellie all wanted to join the Club and they were super excited. We did different themes each week like the first week for a practice round. We did a futuristic theme so they had to make something from the future.
For some time we have been working on clay models for WW1. Room 10 were in role as monument makers and someone called Claire Bassett-Jones told us that her ancestor was Private Arthur Bassett and she wanted us to make a monument that included everyone who helped in WW1 like animals, bullet factory workers, home front nurses and more. After she had sent us that letter, Room 10 worked hard designing and then we started creating.
This term we have been working as Young Vinnies. We have been to the Vinnies shop and we did a spring fashion show. We called our entry Mother Nature. We also did a ‘face to face’ art piece and grew pansies for a spring display and finally we met the residents at Summerset again and gave them our spring bucket and they loved it.
We’ve been preparing for our 75th Jubilee which is today and some people who have been here in St. Theresa’s from the very first day were here. Archbishop Paul Martin blessed the beautiful artwork and everyone attending the celebration. The school has been working very hard for this day and it went well.
Reporters: Cruz and Charlie C
This week, Jacob Grant joined the students in Room 5. We welcome him and his parents Lachlan and Shannon and wish them all a very happy and memorable time here at St. T's.
A new baby for our St. T's school community
Luca Buchanan from Room 2, along with his sister Ana, are now proud older siblings of Hugo Ari Buchanan who was welcomed into the world on 3rd September. We wish many blessings on the whole family and ask you to keep them all in your prayers. Congratulations!

To order pizza and/or ice blocks for your child, please follow ONE of the two processes below:
1. ORDERS FOR THE TERM: Pizza will be available for 10 WEEKS this term. So if ordering for the term, just multiply by 10. If you decide part way through the term, then calculate how many Fridays are left. Send an email to the team, outlining the following information for each child you are ordering for BUT in one email is fine.
Child’s Name:
Room No.:
Number of pizza slices - please specify if gluten free
Number of ice blocks
Cost: $1.50 per pizza slice and $1 per ice block
Multiply the order total by the number of Fridays.
2. WEEKLY ORDERS: These need to be sent to the same email address, with the same order details as in Option 1 and also paid into the same bank account number.
VERY IMPORTANT: The deadline for weekly orders is at 3p.m. on a Thursday. Unfortunately, no late orders can be accepted.
If you would like to pay in advance for a set number of weeks but not all
the weeks in this particular term, please feel free to email these details to
the team.
If your child is new to our school and only starts part way through the term,
simply adjust the number of weeks for the remainder of the term.
